Groundworks & Civil Engineering

Piling – Shanco facilitates Driven and Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) Piling.

Excavation works – We provide bulk earthworks and remediation, including foundation excavations.

Concrete Foundations – Including reinforced, mass concrete, pads and rafts

Drainage Systems – We provide foul and surface water drains, deep drainage, SUDS drainage, and soakaways. We undertake drainage connections in the highway and can provide all temporary works. Our team also install attenuation tanks and ponds.

Reinforced Concrete Structures – We construct and undertake repairs to concrete service yards, machine plinths and pits, concrete ramps, retaining walls, underground basements and swimming pool tanks.

Damp-proofing and Gas Barriers – We undertake the Installation of waterproofing and tanking membranes, gas barriers and geotextiles.

Section 278 works – We undertake new site entrance formation, reconfigure existing layouts, undertake road construction and manage all highways compliance.

Critical to the success of the project is our ability to develop a strong relationship with the Modular Contractor, and to establish both their specific requirements and importantly, that of the end customer. We plan every construction activity to avoid disruption to existing day-to-day operations, and to prioritise the safety and security of all parties.

Our team can manage initial activities such as CDM compliance, the set up of fencing and hoarding and the design and construction of the foundations; right through to the final drainage connections and entrance formations. Delivering a total groundworks solution means our customers can focus on manufacturing and delivering their modular units.
