Last month, Shanco Contracts Ltd donated both materials and staff time to level the paving in the Prince of Wales Hospice gardens. This generous act was in response to areas of the paving that had become uneven, posing a potential risk to patients and visitors.

We at Shanco have recently had the pleasure of utilising 2 electric plant machines courtesy of L Lynch Plant Hire for a project in Pickering, North Yorkshire. One key aspect of the project was that the work was to be carried out inside a live factory environment, which posed a number of challenges relating to the harmful emissions and excessive noise typically produced by diesel machinery. Recently, we returned to community interest company Living Potential to lay down two new concrete pathways. This increased accessibility for their wheelchair users, and alongside a new rainwater drainage system has been a welcome addition to the farm and the people they support.
